Art Center Sarasota partners with Hermitage Artist Retreat for Artists in Conversation: "Identity in Art" with Hermitage Fellows Diedrick Brackens, Autumn Knight, and Robert Pruitt
The event took place on Friday, August 6, 2021, 6:30 pm, on Hermitage Beach.
Three acclaimed visual artists from across the United States came together in Englewood, Florida to share an intimate and candid look into their creative process and explore themes of identity in their work. Guests heard from textile artist Diedrick Brackens of Los Angeles, CA, best known for his woven tapestries, Autumn Knight, based in Houston, TX, an interdisciplinary artist working with performance, installation, video and text, and Robert Pruitt, know for his large-scale figurative portraits, is also from Houston.
